The consequences of Judge Trauger remaining on the bench

It has been a year since Kayden Mancuso, 7, was murdered by her father during a custody dispute, but anger at the Bucks County judge who oversaw the case remains raw.

Last week a golf outing and reception at the Makefield Highlands golf club was packed for the kickoff of Kayden’s Korner. It will lobby for state laws favorable to kids caught in life-threatening custody nightmares, placing their safety first, not parental rights.

It will also work to identify judges who don’t act in the best interests of children, or whose decisions result in the death of children.

“Judges need to be held accountable for their decisions when they are so obviously wrong,” said Kathy Sherlock, Kayden’s mother, who formed the group.

Kayden’s Korner intends to hold Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey G. Trauger accountable. Judge Trauger made the disastrous decision to give Kayden’s father, Jeffrey Mancuso, unsupervised visitations, despite his history of rages, violence, major depression, and Kayden saying she didn’t feel safe around him.

Mancuso bludgeoned Kayden and hanged himself at his Philadelphia home
