ReportageEn deux décennies, le directeur artistique a amassé des milliers de foulards vintage, amoureux tant de leur format que de leur graphisme au « design vibratoire ». Il dévoile une partie de sa collection exceptionnelle dans un beau livre édité par Gerhard Steidl.
Dans le brouhaha mécanique, l’impressionnante presse de plus de 60 tonnes et 12 mètres de long, recrache les premiers essais. Des feuilles blanches au format A3 que récupèrent le directeur artistique Benoit Pierre Emery et son éditeur et imprimeur Gerhard Steidl et qu’ils observent côte à côte, sous des néons. Ils en évaluent la netteté, la colorimétrie. S’inquiètent que le rouge ne tire pas trop vers le vermillon, que le noir ne soit pas trop intense, que les détails des carrés ici imprimés – des foulards en 70 × 70 cm, 90 × 90 ou × – soient perceptibles…
